Takes an impression of your code you can carry off and share. Real VS Code themes, any window style, entirely in your browser — nothing is uploaded.
Why flong?
Sharing code in a slide, a blog post or a pull-request description usually means a screenshot — and screenshots inherit whatever your editor happened to look like at the time. flong takes a deliberate impression instead: real VS Code themes, a window style you choose, and consistent output every time.
The name is a printing term. A flong is the papier-mâché mould taken from set type, used to cast the plate that actually prints. It is an impression you can carry off and reuse — which is precisely what the tool does with your code.
Real themes, not approximations
flong renders using actual VS Code theme definitions rather than a hand-tuned lookalike, so the output matches what you see in your editor. You can add your own themes as well as using the ones that ship with it.
Nothing is uploaded
It runs entirely in your browser. Your code never leaves the machine, which means you can use it on work you would not paste into a hosted service — no account, no upload, no retention policy to read.
